Our Story

From the sea, with intention.

In 1996, Jenefer Palmer founded OSEA in Malibu, California, bringing her grandmothers legacy of seaweed bathing to life as modern, clinically-tested skincare. Over three decades later, our mission remains unchanged: to share the healing powers of the sea through clean, effective, and sustainably-sourced formulations.

Clean by Design

Every OSEA product is vegan, cruelty-free, and Leaping Bunny certified. We never use parabens, sulfates, phthalates, petrolatum, or synthetic fragrance. Our formulas are developed in partnership with dermatologists and clinically tested for real, measurable results.

Regeneratively Sourced

Our signature Undaria Seaweed is hand-harvested from the pristine coastal waters of Patagonia using regenerative methods that support both marine ecosystems and the communities that tend them. Combined with Gigartina red seaweed and organic Sesame Oil, our ingredients represent the best of what the ocean and botanical world have to offer.
